Baghdad: The Spanish Football League (LaLiga) announced on Tuesday the completion of its project to develop Iraqi football after more than three years of cooperation.
According to Iraqi News Agency, LaLiga stated that it had wrapped up its football consultancy and development project with the Iraqi Football Association. This collaboration, which began in 2023, concluded after the expiration of the original contract and a subsequent period of negotiations. During these discussions, LaLiga proposed several alternatives aimed at establishing a new framework for ongoing cooperation.
LaLiga President Javier Tebas expressed his admiration for Iraqi football fans, describing them as some of the most passionate and committed globally. He noted that this enthusiasm had been a constant source of inspiration for the team throughout the three-year partnership.
