Baghdad: The Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq, praised the large turnout and broad international participation at the Baghdad International Book Fair on Friday. “I am proud to visit the Baghdad International Book Fair today, where we have witnessed a large public turnout and distinguished participation from various countries, which represents a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, visions, and diverse cultures,” Al-Sadeq told the Iraqi News Agency – INA.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sadeq highlighted the remarkable organization of seminars and panel discussions by many participating countries and pavilions at this year’s fair. He noted that this new phenomenon contributes to enriching the fair’s cultural landscape. The Islamic Republic of Iran has a strong presence through specialized pavilions that are attracting significant interest, in addition to the Iranian Cultural Center’s pavilion.

The Iranian ambassador emphasized the extensive activities led by the Cultural Attach©’s office with Iraqi cultural institutions and universities. He mentioned that preparations are underway for the third edition of the “Iraqi-Iranian Science Week,” which will see the participation of more than 70 universities. Previous editions were held in the cities of Mashhad and Karbala.

Al-Sadeq also underscored the cooperation that includes the Iranian Film Week and various scientific and elite activities. He explained that the focus on children’s literature, culture, and education represents a new avenue in bilateral cooperation programs, strengthening the paths of intellectual exchange between the two peoples.
