US Open: Rybakina, Gauff, and Andreeva Advance to the Third Round


New york: Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina, the United States’ Coco Gauff, and Russia’s Mira Andreeva, seeded second, fourth, and fifth respectively, have all qualified for the third round of the US Open, the last of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Rybakina secured her spot in the next round by overcoming Spain’s Jessica Posas Manero with a score of 6-2, 6-4. Meanwhile, Coco Gauff faced off against another Spanish competitor, Paula Badosa, and emerged victorious with a scoreline of 6-4, 7-6 (7-5). In another match, Russia’s Mira Andreeva defeated Germany’s Eva Lisse decisively, with a score of 6-0, 6-2, to advance further in the tournament.



These results mark a significant step forward for the three players as they continue their quest for the US Open title. The tournament remains a key highlight in the tennis calendar, drawing attention from fans and athletes worldwide.
