Baghdad: Congratulating the new Secretary-General, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms Iraq’s commitment to continuing cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has affirmed Iraq’s commitment to ongoing collaboration with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). In a recent statement, the Ministry extended its sincere congratulations to Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on his election as Secretary-General of the OIC, expressing wishes for his success in this new role.

The Ministry’s statement emphasized Iraq’s support for the OIC, recognizing its significant role in strengthening joint Islamic action. The statement also conveyed Iraq’s confidence in the new Secretary-General’s ability to contribute to the organization’s progress, enhance its performance, and consolidate solidarity and cooperation among member states.
