Latakia: Internal Security in Latakia announced the arrest of Brigadier General Jalal Kamel Saqr, commander of the 18th Infantry Brigade in the Assad regime forces. Security officials stated that “Jalal Saqr is implicated in war crimes and arbitrary arrests committed against civilians during the years of the revolution.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Jalal Saqr participated in military operations against unarmed civilians in Damascus Governorate and Eastern Ghouta, and oversaw arbitrary arrest campaigns in Daraa Governorate.
