Basra: Al-Minaa Club coach Hussein Abdul Wahid asserted that “football involves mistakes, and the goalkeeper was responsible for Al-Naft’s goals. The players and the fans had bad luck.”
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Minaa Club suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Al-Naft Club last night, with all three goals scored in the first half of the match held at Al-Fayhaa Stadium in Basra.
Al-Minaa is currently grappling with administrative problems and a financial crisis. These issues have led to players boycotting training sessions after returning from the Erbil match due to unpaid dues, significantly impacting their performance on the field.
