Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met with the US Charg© d’Affaires to Iraq to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across various sectors. His media office stated in a press release that al-Zaidi received the Charg© d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Iraq, Steven Fagin, on Sunday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement added that the meeting addressed ways to enhance bilateral relations and broaden cooperation in various sectors, contributing to the strengthening of the partnership between the two countries. The meeting also discussed the overall situation in the region, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and diplomatic means to reduce tensions, thereby promoting security and stability and safeguarding the interests of the region’s people.
