Baghdad: Intelligence and security detachments from the 10th and 14th Infantry Divisions, in cooperation with relevant security agencies, arrested four individuals on Sunday accused of trafficking and distributing narcotics in the provinces of Anbar and Nineveh.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense stated in a press release that the operation was part of the efforts exerted by the Directorate’s detachments in various operational sectors. Following meticulous surveillance operations based on confirmed intelligence, the suspects were apprehended in possession of quantities of narcotics and prohibited substances. They are wanted under Articles (28) and (32) of the Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law. The suspects and seized items were handed over to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against them.
