Baghdad: Weather forecasters predict a drop in temperatures and rain in northern regions in the coming days. According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Meteorological Authority indicated that Monday’s weather will be clear in the central and southern regions, and partly cloudy in the northern region with a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will decrease slightly in the central and northern regions and rise slightly in the southern region compared to the previous day.

The statement continued, “The maximum temperatures for Monday in all Iraqi governorates are as follows: Dohuk 38°C, Sulaymaniyah 37°C, Nineveh and Kirkuk 41°C, Erbil and Anbar 40°C, Baghdad and Wasit 42°C, Salah al-Din, Diyala, Karbala, Babylon, Najaf, and Diwaniyah 43°C, Maysan and Dhi Qar 44°C, and Muthanna and Basra 46°C.”

It added that Tuesday’s weather will be generally clear, with temperatures slightly lower in the northern and southern regions and similar in the central region.

The statement also noted that Wednesday’s weather will be clear in the central and northern regions and partly cloudy in the southern region, with temperatures similar in the central region and slightly lower. In the northern region, temperatures will rise slightly in the southern region.

He added, “Thursday’s weather will be generally clear with some clouds in the southern region, and temperatures will be slightly higher overall than the previous day.”
