Baghdad: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, through its Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs/Training and Development Section, launched a training course titled ‘Developing the Skills of Middle Management and E-Governance’ on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Ishtar Hall located within the Ministry’s headquarters.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the course was supervised by Dr. Ali Redha Al-Hamoud, Director General of the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs. He highlighted the significance of training programs in enhancing the efficiency of employees and developing their professional and administrative skills. Dr. Al-Hamoud underscored the relevance of leadership and governance topics in boosting institutional performance and aligning with the demands of contemporary management practices.

The training session featured a lecture by Dr. Hadeel Hassan Al-Fartousi, who covered the concept of governance, its goals, principles, and tools, as well as its impact on improving the efficiency of both governmental and private sector institutions. The lecture also explored practical applications of governance within governmental institutions, providing attendees with critical insights into the subject.

This initiative forms part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to bolster the administrative and professional capabilities of its workforce. By focusing on the development of middle management skills, the ministry aims to enhance institutional performance and facilitate the transition towards e-governance.
