Mosul: A source in the Nineveh River Police announced the release of 400,000 carp fingerlings into the Tigris River in Mosul.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the release was carried out in coordination with the Nineveh Agriculture Directorate with the aim of supporting and developing the fish stock in the province. The source indicated that this step comes within the efforts to enhance fish stocks in the Tigris River and preserve its resources.

He emphasized the importance of protecting fish and reducing practices that affect fish stocks, noting that the release of fingerlings contributes to supporting natural reproduction and increasing fish production in the future.
