Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi emphasized today, Sunday, the importance of elevating Iraqi-Turkish relations to broader levels of cooperation and partnership.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office stated that “Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan.” The meeting underscored the positive outcomes of the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Ankara, where he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This visit culminated in the signing of several memoranda of understanding and agreements across various sectors including economic, developmental, energy, water, transportation, and trade.
The Prime Minister highlighted the necessity of continuing coordination and consultation on shared issues, particularly in light of current challenges facing the region. The discussions also focused on supporting dialogues and diplomatic efforts to enhance regional and international security and stability.
