Baghdad: The Ministry of Justice has affirmed its commitment to supporting journalistic work, with a particular focus on overcoming the challenges faced by media professionals. This development came to light during a recent meeting between the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Ziyad al-Tamimi, and a delegation from the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate branch in Diyala.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting, which took place in Baghdad, addressed a series of issues impacting journalists, particularly the difficulties they encounter in their line of work. Ziyad al-Tamimi underscored the Ministry’s dedication to assisting journalists, highlighting their resolve to cooperate in alleviating the obstacles media professionals face. He also acknowledged the significant role played by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in advocating for journalists’ rights and enhancing the status of the Fourth Estate.

The delegation from the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate expressed their appreciation for the Ministry of Justice’s supportive stance and their cooperative efforts with journalists.
