Najaf Police and Ministry of Interior Discuss Lawyer Regulation Mechanisms


Baghdad: The Najaf Governorate Police Command recently hosted a crucial joint meeting with a ministerial committee to improve the coordination between the police command and the Bar Association, focusing on mechanisms for regulating the work of lawyers in the governorate.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was attended by several high-profile individuals, including the Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Abdul Qadir Al-Khaqani, a member of the Bar Association, the head of the delegation chamber, a representative of the Union of Jurists, numerous lawyers, and various department heads.



Media officer Colonel Mufid Salem reported that the discussions highlighted the need for clear mechanisms when lawyers visit police stations. Ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations was a key point, alongside strengthening cooperation and joint coordination. Emphasis was placed on ensuring professional conduct and mutual respect, as well as preserving the rights of all parties involved.
