Baghdad: The 4th Coastal Border Regiment, operating under the 4th Border Region Command in Basra, has undertaken a series of inspections targeting boats, fishermen, ships, launches, and other maritime vessels.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the Command emphasized that these inspections are crucial for ensuring the security status of maritime vessels. The operations are part of broader efforts to establish maritime control within territorial waters, aiming to secure the coastal border strip.

The Command further noted that the measures are designed to enhance security and deter any infiltration or smuggling attempts.
