Baghdad: The Ministry of Interior announced that the judiciary has issued a sentence of three months and ten days imprisonment against the woman known as Naru on charges of indecent content. The Ministry stated that the judiciary has sentenced Naru for publishing content deemed offensive to public morals.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Indecent Content Committee within the Ministry of Interior took legal action against Nariman Mohammed Abdul-Ridha, nicknamed Naru. The Karkh Misdemeanor Court delivered the sentence following the legal proceedings initiated by the committee.
The Ministry emphasized the need to uphold public morals and indicated that legal actions like these are part of broader efforts to maintain societal standards. The case of Naru highlights the ongoing measures taken by authorities to regulate online content.
