Baghdad: Minister of Communications Mustafa Sand launched a new e-sports club affiliated with the Ministry of Communications. The initiative aims to integrate professional gaming into the ministry’s activities and offers opportunities for individuals with strong skills in electronic games to join.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry issued a press release announcing the launch of the e-sports club. Applications are now open for prospective members who possess professional-level gaming abilities. The club represents a significant step in promoting e-sports within the country.
The newly launched club has already qualified to participate in the PUBG EMA Championship: 2026 Fall. This event will see the club representing Iraq in competition against elite teams from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, marking a noteworthy achievement for the nascent organization.
