Tehran: The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, announced that the Strait of Hormuz is completely closed, rejecting US President Donald Trump’s statements about the strait remaining open and describing them as “pure lies.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Rezaei stated in televised remarks that the restricted zone will begin at the line of the US naval blockade and extend to areas in the Gulf. He warned that any ship entering this zone will be subject to Iranian sanctions.
