Diwaniyah: Dozens of farmers from Diwaniyah Governorate staged a demonstration today in front of the local branch of the Oil Products Distribution Company, demanding that relevant authorities cancel the current gas pricing and refrain from raising prices, as this places a heavy burden on farmers.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the farmers called on the central government and the Ministry of Oil to avoid raising fuel prices and to support the agricultural sector. The demonstrators expressed concerns that the increased costs of oil products would significantly impact their farming operations, making it difficult to sustain their livelihoods. The farmers emphasized the need for government intervention to ensure the stability of agricultural production in the region.
