Baghdad: The Director General of the Kurdish House of Culture and Publishing, Awat Hassan Amin, affirmed the organization’s significant presence at the 27th Baghdad International Book Fair. This event, orchestrated by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, marks a substantial participation from various departments and institutions within the Ministry, all dedicated to the book and publishing industry.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Amin emphasized the importance of engaging with readers throughout the fair, highlighting the Ministry’s pavilion as a key venue showcasing the diverse cultural and intellectual offerings from its affiliated institutions. The pavilion has successfully presented publications, including translated works, children’s books, and heritage-focused material, alongside contributions from Dar Al-Ma’mun for Translation and Publishing and the Kurdish House of Culture and Publishing.

Amin pointed out the wide-ranging participation of Iraqi, Arab, and international publishing houses at the exhibition. This includes seminars and cultural events, with the Kurdish House of Culture and Publishing actively participating. This involvement underscores the growing influence of Kurdish literature within the Iraqi cultural landscape.

Expressing optimism, Amin hopes for continued reader engagement with their publications. He believes this interaction will inspire further publication efforts and encourage broader participation in future exhibitions and cultural events.
