Basra: Al-Minaa Club has filed an official protest regarding the events of its match against Naft Maysan, which took place yesterday at Al-Fayhaa Stadium as part of the sixth round of the league, due to what it described as a violation related to the match form.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source within the club stated, “Naft Maysan replaced the match form three times during the match because the goalkeeper was not listed in the lineup.” The source explained, “This procedure constitutes a violation that warrants review by the relevant authorities within the Iraqi Football Association.”
The source added, “If the violation is proven, Al-Minaa’s protest could result in the three points being awarded to the team.” The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
