Berlin: Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi departed for the German capital, Berlin, after concluding his visit to France.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, his media office stated in a press release that the Prime Minister’s visit to France included a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and the signing of six memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements.

The statement indicated that the memoranda of understanding include a letter of intent between the Ministry of Defense and the artificial intelligence company Harmattan; a declaration of intent between the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and the French Ministry of the Armed Forces; a declaration of intent for partnership in the field of enhancing youth opportunities, research, and innovation; a declaration of intent regarding strengthening the partnership with the French Development Agency (AFD); a cooperation protocol regarding a gas supply and sale contract with Total Energies; and a declaration of intent for cooperation in the field of civil aviation with the French Ministry of Transport.

The statement further explained that the Prime Minister’s visit also included meetings with the Chairman of Total Energies, the Chairman of Rothschild Bank, a group of heads and representatives of French companies, the President of the Arab World Institute, and a group of correspondents from French and foreign newspapers and media outlets.
