Baghdad: The Iraqi Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee has declared Naft Maysan FC the loser in their match against Al-Minaa FC with a score of 0-3, and has also rejected Diyala FC’s protest against Al-Karma FC.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Disciplinary Committee convened at the association’s headquarters to examine a protest lodged by Al-Minaa Sports Club concerning their match against Naft Maysan FC, which took place on September 9, 2026, as part of the sixth round of the Iraqi Stars League. The committee determined that Naft Maysan committed a violation by incorrectly managing their player list, which led to the decision to forfeit the match 0-3, in line with Article (69-1-6-8) of the league’s regulations.
Additionally, the committee evaluated Diyala Club’s protest, filed on September 4, 2026, against Al-Karma Club related to the match held on September 3, 2026. Diyala claimed Al-Karma breached regulations by altering their roster. However, the committee concluded that Al-Karma’s actions were within the permissible timeframe and did not infringe any rules. As a result, Diyala’s protest was dismissed, based on Article (111-1-3) of the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations for the current season.
