Baghdad: The US Treasury Department announced on Thursday that it has imposed sanctions on a cryptocurrency trading platform for supporting the Iranian government. The Treasury stated, “We have imposed sanctions on the cryptocurrency trading platform BitBank for supporting the Iranian government.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the United States, through its Treasury Department, periodically imposes new sanctions on entities and individuals in various sectors, particularly the military industries, across different countries worldwide.
