Distribution of Financial Dues to Wheat Marketers in Diwaniyah

Baghdad: The Union of Agricultural Associations in Diwaniyah has issued a call to action for local farmers who have marketed their wheat crop. Farmers are encouraged to visit the local branch of the General Company for Grain Trade to collect their payment checks for the year 2026.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Union President Khalid al-Khaza’i announced that they have been in communication with the relevant authorities concerning irrigation fees and loans. Farmers who have marketed their crops are required to submit a pledge to the Grain Trade Company branch, committing to repay the irrigation fees and loans after they receive their full financial dues.

Al-Khaza’i highlighted that this initiative is part of a broader set of measures implemented by the Union in collaboration with the central government and the Diwaniyah branch of the Grain Trade Company. The aim is to ensure an equitable process for the farmers, securing their financial interests and meeting their obligations.
