Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Haibat Al-Halbousi discussed, on Saturday, the activation of the role of parliamentary friendship committees with a delegation from the French Senate. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between the legislative bodies of Iraq and France.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Speaker Haibat Al-Halbousi received a French Senate delegation led by Nicole Duranton, Chairman of the French-Iraqi Parliamentary Friendship Committee. The discussions aimed at exploring mechanisms for enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two legislative institutions.

The meeting addressed the activation of parliamentary friendship committees as a means to consolidate shared ties and strengthen communication between the two countries. It also covered regional and international developments, touching upon several topics of mutual interest to both nations.
