Najaf:Najaf Al-Ashraf Airport will reopen to Iranian flights within the next 24 hours, as confirmed by Yasser Abdul-Zahra Al-Hajjaj, the Iraqi Ambassador to Iran.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the resumption of flights is part of ongoing efforts by the Iraqi government, led by Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi, to reinstate air travel between Iraq and Iran.
Abdul-Zahra clarified that the cessation of flights was not due to a government decision but because foreign ground-handling companies had stopped services over concerns about US sanctions.
