Baghdad:Head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, met with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues. Both emphasized the importance of de-escalation and restoring stability in the region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting at his office on Tuesday, Al-Hakim noted that Iraq is preparing to celebrate “National Sovereignty Day.” He asserted that the conclusion of the International Coalition’s mission signifies Iraq’s recovery.
Al-Hakim also highlighted the challenges facing Iraq, particularly the economic difficulties driven by regional events. He stressed the need to diversify Iraq’s oil export outlets and economy, and to increase oil production in line with the country’s potential and population size.
