Al-Zaidi and Al-Maliki Pledge Support for Anti-Corruption and Government Formation Efforts

Baghdad:Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi and Nouri Al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, have expressed their commitment to supporting anti-corruption measures and completing the formation of the government.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Media Office of the Prime Minister announced that Al-Zaidi hosted Al-Maliki for discussions.

The meeting reviewed significant national developments and stressed the importance of national unity to address current challenges. It also highlighted backing for the government’s program implementation, aimed at improving service delivery and achieving comprehensive development.

Additionally, the discussions emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue among national political forces to complete the government’s formation, while supporting initiatives to combat corruption, implement reforms, and consolidate stability.
