President Amedi Seeks Enhanced Cooperation with Tajikistan

Baghdad:President Nizar Amedi has highlighted the importance of strengthening relations and expanding cooperation with Tajikistan.

According to Iraqi News Agency, President Amedi met with Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda, the non-resident Ambassador of Tajikistan to Iraq, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad. The discussions focused on reviewing the relations between Iraq and Tajikistan, as well as addressing regional and international developments of mutual interest.

President Amedi emphasized the need to elevate bilateral relations and explore new avenues for cooperation in political, economic, and cultural fields, aiming to benefit both countries and their people.

The Tajik ambassador expressed appreciation for the existing relations with Iraq and affirmed a strong interest in strengthening and developing joint cooperation across various levels.
