Najaf:Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi has been actively involved in efforts to resume flights by Iranian airlines to and from Najaf International Airport.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister has engaged in a series of communications and follow-ups with relevant parties to facilitate this process. An agreement has been reached allowing Iranian airlines, excluding Mahan Air, to operate 40 flights daily to and from Najaf International Airport. He further elaborated that air travel is not merely a means of transportation but a crucial bridge connecting people. It plays a vital role for patients seeking medical treatment, pilgrims visiting holy sites, and families reuniting, while also contributing to tourism and economic activities.
The Prime Minister stressed that Iraq’s foreign relations prioritize the interests of its citizens, focusing on building balanced international relationships to enhance connectivity and improve people’s lives. He remains committed to addressing transportation challenges and strengthening international cooperation for the benefit of travelers and pilgrims.
