Baghdad:The Iraqi Football Association has announced the acquisition of three FIFA-supported training workshops aimed at enhancing the capabilities of coaching staff.
According to Iraqi News Agency, these workshops are part of FIFA’s support and development programs. Wissam Najib Sliwa, Acting Technical Director of the Iraqi Football Association, indicated that the workshops are designed to upgrade coaching staff and improve their technical skills.
The workshops are scheduled to commence in early December and will cover goalkeeping, futsal, and beach soccer coaching. They will be overseen by FIFA instructors to ensure high technical and organizational standards.
The criteria for nominations and participation will be disclosed later, following FIFA’s approved standards. Coordination will occur with the Association’s Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee to address workshops specific to these areas. Selection of participants will adhere to clear, approved technical guidelines to select qualified individuals and optimize the programs’ benefits.
