Medina:Ankara: The Turkish Presidency has declared that any attack on the Two Holy Mosques is an unacceptable violation that affects the entire Muslim world.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Burhanettin Duran, head of the Turkish Presidency’s Communications Directorate, emphasized Turkey’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia under President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s leadership. He expressed hope that attacks threatening regional security and stability will cease soon.
Duran specifically condemned a recent drone attack by the Yemeni Houthi group, which targeted civilian infrastructure linked to the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.
The Saudi-led coalition, backing the legitimate Yemeni government, reported that a Houthi drone targeted a power station serving the Prophet’s Mosque, causing one transformer to go offline without affecting the power grid.
However, Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Houthi Supreme Political Council, denied responsibility for the attack on Medina, dismissing the accusations as fabricated lies.
