Ankara:Iraqi Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair Al-Abadi and Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar have commenced negotiations on a framework agreement to bolster cooperation in the oil, gas, and energy sectors between Iraq and Turkey.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the negotiations began with an expanded meeting in Ankara, where Al-Abadi led the Iraqi delegation and Bayraktar represented Turkey. The discussions focused on developing a roadmap to enhance bilateral cooperation in oil and gas infrastructure, the petrochemical industry, and trade in oil, gas, and energy.
The initial meeting is seen as a significant step toward establishing a framework agreement that aims to create foundations for joint cooperation and expand partnership opportunities in these critical sectors.
