Iraq Commits to Implementing UN Resolution 2792


Baghdad:Iraq’s National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Aboudi, emphasized the country’s significant efforts to implement UN Security Council Resolution 2792, highlighting its humanitarian nature.



According to the Iraqi News Agency, Al-Aboudi hosted Mary Yamashita, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, to discuss the continued cooperation between Iraq and the United Nations, particularly focusing on the humanitarian aspects of Resolution 2792.



During the meeting, Al-Aboudi conveyed that Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi has reiterated Iraq’s commitment to respecting other nations, avoiding interference in internal affairs, and maintaining balanced international relations based on mutual interests. This was emphasized during Al-Zaidi’s discussions with various international delegations at the UN headquarters in New York.



Yamashita praised Iraq for its dedication to implementing UN resolutions and its collaborative approach with the United Nations on humanitarian matters.
