Damascus:The Iraqi Embassy in the Syrian capital hosted a ceremony on Monday to commemorate Sovereignty Day.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Jubair Shallal Al-Dulaimi, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Damascus, spoke about the significance of this day. He highlighted it as a celebration of the extension of state authority, the rule of law, and the completion of Iraqi sovereignty.

Al-Dulaimi emphasized that Sovereignty Day was the culmination of a gradual process undertaken by the Iraqi government. He acknowledged the efforts and work that led to this achievement, noting that it was not a fleeting moment but the result of sustained governmental efforts.

He also extended his salute to the security forces and the Foreign Ministry, praising the diplomacy that has played a crucial role in safeguarding Iraq’s sovereignty.
