Iraq to Resume Commercial Shipping in the Gulf After 50-Year Hiatus

Baghdad:Iraq is set to restart commercial shipping operations in the Gulf this month following a break of over 50 years, as announced by the Transport Ministry on Monday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the initial voyage of the Iraqi Line is planned for October 15, departing from Jebel Ali port in the United Arab Emirates and heading to Umm Qasr port in Iraq.
