Iraq and Egypt Pledge to Strengthen Bilateral Ties in Multiple Sectors


Baghdad:National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Aboudi has confirmed Iraq’s dedication to enhancing its relationship with Egypt, focusing on political, economic, and investment sectors.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Aboudi met with the Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq, Ahmed Hussein. Their discussions centered on improving bilateral relations and developing cooperation to serve the interests of both nations and their citizens.



Al-Aboudi stressed the importance of boosting connections with Egypt in political, economic, trade, and investment arenas. He highlighted the value of cooperation, particularly in counter-terrorism efforts, and acknowledged Egypt’s historical and regional significance.



He also pointed out the challenges posed by regional conflicts and crises, which have affected development and economic stability. Al-Aboudi praised Egypt’s efforts in regional de-escalation and stability initiatives.



The Egyptian Ambassador reiterated Egypt’s commitment to strengthening ties with Iraq and expanding joint cooperation. He expressed support for the Iraqi government under Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi and acknowledged the contributions of the Iraqi delegation, led by Al-Aboudi, at the Rome Conference.
