Accra:Jordanian Minister of Energy Saleh Al-Kharabsheh emphasized the importance of the Basra-Aqaba pipeline, highlighting ongoing discussions with Iraq about resuming oil supplies.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Kharabsheh stated that negotiations are underway to continue the oil supply between Jordan and Iraq. He clarified that the oil received from Iraq is not free but acquired through payment.

Al-Kharabsheh further explained that the pipeline project between Basra and Aqaba is integral to enhancing energy security in the region.
