Karbala:Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi has launched the One Million Residential Land Plots Project, known as the Watan Initiative, in Karbala City. As part of this initiative, 60,000 residential land plots have been allocated to the governorate.
According to Iraqi News Agency, during the project’s implementation phase launch, the Prime Minister emphasized that the visit was about securing a long-awaited right for Iraqi citizens, rather than just laying a foundation stone. He chose Karbala for the launch because of its historical significance as a city of reform.
Najaf Governorate is set to be the next location for the project’s launch, followed by Nineveh and other governorates. The Prime Minister explained that the next phase will involve distributing title deeds, fulfilling his promise to ensure every Iraqi family has a home.
He further stressed the importance of completing these projects within the government’s term, ensuring the land plots are fully equipped with essential infrastructure and utilities. The initiative guarantees that every Iraqi family without property will receive a title deed for a residential land plot, with government assistance for construction, all without requiring expenditure from the state budget.
