Baghdad:The Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of a criminal group involved in theft and extortion activities across the city.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Baghdad-Rusafa Police Command, in collaboration with the Zafraniya Police Department and Zafraniya Anti-Crime units, successfully apprehended the group. This group was responsible for stealing approximately 300 motorcycles and tuk-tuks from areas on both the Rusafa and Karkh sides of Baghdad.

The Ministry highlighted that these arrests are part of ongoing efforts to pursue criminals and curb illicit activities. This initiative contributes to enhancing security, stability, and the protection of citizens’ property in the region.
