Baghdad:The Karkh Police Command has clarified the nature of recent sounds heard near Baghdad International Airport.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the police explained that the sounds, which some social media platforms had attributed to gunfire, were actually fireworks. These fireworks were part of the official opening ceremony of an investment city.

The Command urged citizens to ensure the accuracy of the information they share and to avoid spreading rumors or unverified news. It stressed the importance of relying on official and reliable sources to prevent unnecessary public concern.
