Kirkuk:The Ministry of Defense has mourned the loss of Brigadier General Ahat Yasser Khudair Hussein, Commander of the 11th Infantry Division’s Communications Directorate, and Warrant Officer Mutaz Shahid Abbas. The two servicemen were killed by an IED explosion left by ISIS while inspecting a site of a recent airstrike on a terrorist hideout in Wadi Zaghytoun, Kirkuk Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry expressed pride and honor in the sacrifices made by the two martyrs in their national duty. They emphasized that the sacrifices of these heroic martyrs are a sacred trust and serve as a motivation for the armed forces to continue their mission against terrorism. The Ministry reiterated its commitment to eradicating the remnants of terrorism, cutting off their support, and ensuring the nation’s security and stability until all terrorist hideouts are eliminated across Iraq.
