Mosul:Nineveh The committee tasked with safeguarding heritage and archaeological properties in Old Mosul has discussed strategies to protect historical homes and prevent unauthorized activities such as sales, demolition, and vandalism.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting included Mosul District Commissioner Hisham Al-Hashimi, alongside officials from antiquities and security agencies.

Al-Hashimi highlighted the significance of completing the inventory of heritage properties and enhancing coordination among relevant authorities to preserve the architectural legacy of the Old City. He stressed the need to prevent encroachments that threaten its historical identity.
