Accra:Frequent thirst, increased urination, persistent fatigue, and blurred vision have been identified as early signs of the onset of type 2 diabetes. A recent medical report emphasizes the importance of recognizing these symptoms, which may develop gradually over several years before the disease is diagnosed.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the health website *Healthline* reports that type 2 diabetes can develop progressively, with initial symptoms often being mild and easily overlooked. Key early indicators include intense thirst, frequent urination, and an increased sense of hunger.
The report explains that high blood sugar levels prompt the kidneys to remove excess glucose through urine, leading to more frequent urination, especially at night. This results in the loss of bodily fluids, causing a constant feeling of thirst.
Furthermore, the report notes that when the body’s cells struggle to utilize glucose for energy, it can lead to persistent hunger even after eating, along with chronic fatigue and reduced energy levels.
