Accra:Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mohammed al-Halbousi, expressed his approval of the completed cabinet, highlighting the importance of government success in fulfilling the aspirations of citizens and strengthening the state.

According to Iraqi News Agency, al-Halbousi welcomed the inclusion of new ministries and Deputy Prime Ministers in the cabinet, wishing them success in their national responsibilities.

He stressed the need for the government to transition quickly from formation to active work, aiming to provide quality services, stability, and development for the Iraqi people. Al-Halbousi assured that the Council of Representatives would support the government by using its legislative powers to facilitate the government’s work and ensure the success of its programs.

Al-Halbousi emphasized that government success is crucial for the state and that fulfilling citizens’ aspirations is a shared responsibility, free from political disputes. He also noted that while supporting the government, the parliament would maintain its role in oversight and accountability, ensuring officials are held responsible for their performance.

He concluded by stating that the Parliament will support the government but will also exercise its oversight role to address any failures, with the ultimate measure being tangible achievements for the Iraqi people.
