Baghdad:Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, convened a meeting on Wednesday with the Minister of Culture, Yassin al-Aithawi, and the Minister of Planning, Qutaiba Ghazi, to discuss the implementation of the government program and strategic plans of both ministries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani emphasized the urgency of finalizing the state budget and advocated for the support of skilled professionals and artists. He urged the Ministry of Planning to expedite the completion of the budget and called on the Ministry of Culture to focus on providing financial and logistical support to artists and the drama sector.

During the meeting, which included coalition members of parliament and other officials, al-Sudani highlighted the importance of prioritizing competence within ministerial operations and creating opportunities for skilled personnel. He also stressed the need for officials to maintain open communication with employees at all professional levels.

The Minister of Planning described his ministry as the “beating heart” of the Iraqi government, acknowledging the achievements of the previous administration, particularly the completion of the national census. Meanwhile, the Minister of Culture praised past initiatives supporting artists, with a special mention of efforts dedicated to Iraqi drama.
