Diwaniyah:The head of the Farmers’ Associations Union in Diwaniyah, Khalid Al-Khuzaie, has announced that the local government has approached the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister’s Office to discuss compensation for wheat farmers affected in the province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Khuzaie stated that once the 2027 budget is approved, compensation will be disbursed to those eligible through allocations from the Natural Disasters Fund.

He added that this initiative is part of the efforts by the local Farmers’ Associations Union, in collaboration with the local government, to support and provide justice to the farmers and agricultural workers in the province.
