A 1-1 Draw Settles the Champions League Round of 16 Match Between Arsenal and Leverkusen

London: Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen drew 1-1 in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie. Robert Andrich opened the scoring for Bayer Leverkusen in the 46th minute. Arsenal equalized through a penalty converted by Kai Havertz in the 89th minute.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the match was a tightly contested affair with both teams having opportunities to secure a victory. Bayer Leverkusen took the lead shortly after the commencement of the second half, courtesy of a goal from Robert Andrich. Arsenal, however, managed to level the score late in the match when Kai Havertz successfully converted a penalty in the 89th minute, ensuring that both teams have all to play for in the second leg.
