A delegation from the Prime Minister’s Office met with the governors of Najaf and Karbala, Majid Al-Waeli and Nassif Al-Khattabi, at the center of the Najaf Governorate, in order to see and discuss in the field the route of the suspended train between the two governorates.

The Najaf Governor’s media office reported that, “The Prime Minister’s delegation included the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Transport Affairs, the Director-General of the Department of Roads and Bridges, the Director-General of Railways, and the relevant engineering team, in the presence of the Technical Assistant to the Governor.”

The joint delegation conducted a tour to see the route and the obstacles within the project and to see all the proposed routes and paths for the passage of the suspended railway, which achieve the highest benefit in transporting visitors, especially during the season’s visits.
